Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Marketing Planning:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, target audiences, and competition in the development sector to determine the effectiveness of styles and strategies.
  • Create and manage marketing budgets to maximize ROI.

 

Brand Management:

  • Maintain and enhance the organization’s brand identity, ensuring consistency in messaging and visual representation.
  • Develop and enforce brand guidelines across all marketing materials and communications.
  • Spearhead the execution of marketing campaigns, including test and control group segmentation, testing, tracking, results reporting, analyses, and recommendations
  • Manage conception, development, and implementation of marketing plans and strategy, product concepts, and promotional programs to drive customer interest and sales

 

Content Creation and Communication:

  • Produce high-quality content, including articles, reports, social media posts, videos, and press releases, to communicate the organization’s mission and impact.
  • Manage the organization’s website and social media presence to engage stakeholders and promote awareness.

 

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Cultivate relationships with donors, partners, and key stakeholders in the development sector.
  • Develop and nurture partnerships with other organizations, governments, and international agencies.

 

Fundraising and Donor Relations:

  • Collaborate with fundraising teams to support fundraising campaigns and events.
  • Maintain strong relationships with donors and communicate the impact of their contributions.

 

Data Analysis and Performance Metrics:

  • Track and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives using metrics and analytics tools.
  • Use data insights to make informed decisions and optimize marketing strategies.

 

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Lead and manage a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback.
  • Lead development of marketing strategy by working closely with clients, managers, creatives, content providers, and distribution partners to create effective plans focused on growing the audience for our products
  • Foster a collaborative and creative work environment.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience in marketing, preferably in the development sector or nonprofit organizations.

 

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of development sector issues, including poverty alleviation, healthcare, education, and sustainable development.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing successful marketing strategies.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing, social media platforms, and content management systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and lead a diverse team.
