Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Web Engineer with expertise in a diverse range of programming languages and frameworks. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance web applications. This position is based in Japan, and candidates must demonstrate strong technical proficiency along with a willingness to engage in language and cultural learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain web applications using technologies such as Java, JavaScript, Perl, PHP, Objective-C, C/C++, HTML, CSS, and Python.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement innovative solutions.
- Ensure responsive design and cross-platform compatibility for web applications.
- Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Implement security measures and follow best practices for secure coding.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve web development practices.
Required Qualifications
- Education: A 4-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferable but not compulsory. Candidates with a less than 4-year college diploma are also encouraged to apply.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in web development.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Strong command of Java, JavaScript, Perl, PHP, Objective-C, C/C++, Python.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and front-end development frameworks.
- Familiarity with database management and web server technologies.
Japanese Language Requirement:
Candidates with JLPT N5, N4, or upper level of JLPT (Japanese-language Proficiency Test)Â will be prioritized and directly shortlisted, while non-Japanese speakers are also encouraged to apply if they are willing to learn.
